Felice Herrig vs Amanda Lavoy set for XFO Outdoor War 9

Wednesday July 24, 2013

The X-Treme Fighting Organization (XFO) announces the main event of their highly anticipated Outdoor War 9 MMA event with a professional muay thai fight between Felice “Little Bulldog” Herrig and Amanda “Red Fox” LaVoy.

Felice Herrig is an American kickboxer, muay thai fighter and mixed martial artist who is currently the #5 ranked female strawweight (115lb) fighter in the world.  Felice is from Buffalo Grove, Illinois and trains out of Team Curran MMA in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Amanda Lavoy, at one time was one of the fastest rising 125-pounders in the nation, having gone toe-to-toe with legitimate contenders; such as Jessica Eye and Michele Gutierrez.  Amanda is from Monroe, Michigan and trains with the Cheetah Caged Combat Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

XFO President, Dan Lardy explains, “We had been looking for a fight for Felice for nearly 2 months with out much luck.  We launched a new TV series, The Best of XFO MMA, on Comcast SportsNet a few weeks back and the premier episode just happened to feature Felice and Amanda fighting for the first time at XFO 37 back in 2010.  The airing of that fight started a bit of a ‘Twitter War’ with the fighters and their fans going back and forth about the outcome.  We talked to both fighters and they agreed to a Muay Thai or kickboxing match, so that’s our main event.”

The event will be held on August 10, 2013 at Sideout’s Bar and Grill in Island Lake, Illinois.  Tickets start at $25 and are on sale now at www.xfomma.com.
